Welcome to SPOT ... Come on by and find out where you stand

SPOT offers free and anonymous rapid HIV testing in a friendly environment for guys who have sex with guys.  SPOT is a place to “find out where you stand,” and it’s also a research study.

Our hours of operation have been set up to suit a range of lifestyles.  Services are available in the morning and afternoon on some days, in the evening on other days, and on weekends.

Modified schedule for September
Please take not that the SPOT project will be closed on Tuesdays for all the month of september. Also, on September 14th, we will be open from 10:00 to 18:00 instead of 14:00 to 22:00.

SPOT will be closed for the holidays
Please take note that the SPOT project will be closed at those dates:

• Friday, June 24th (St-Jean)
• Tuesday, June 28th
• Wednesday, June 29th
• Thursday, June 30th
• Friday, July 1st (Fête du Canada)

New articles about the SPOT research results are now available
You will find two new articles about the results of the SPOT project in the "Documentation". The first one is about the implementation of the SPOT project while the second one is doing a portrait of participants who have been tested for the first time of their life during the SPOT project.

New opening hours and closed days.

Bruno, the full time nurse on the SPOT project is ending is collaboration with us to go back to his regular job. New nurses will take his place for the SPOT project to continue. To allow the transition, we will be closed on the following dates: May 11th,12th, 14th, 19th and 21th.

We took the opportunity to change our opening hours: check them on the right column.

Holidays Schedule

The SPOT is taking a break for the holidays! The SPOT clinique will be close from December 23rd to January 10th inclusively. For an urgence, we suggest you call our partner cliniques (Quartier Latin 514-285-5500 or L'Actuel 514-524-1001).

We would like to remind you that if you take a risk with a positive partner or someone you think might be infected, you can present yourself at any time at the St-Luc hospital (Corner of Sanguinet and René-Lévesque) to receive a Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) that avoid you from getting infected in most of the case. Remember that you need to start the treatment under 72 hours after the risk: the sooner after the risk, the better are the chances for the treatment to work.

New opening hour on tuesdays and vacation schedule
Spot is now open from 10 am to 6 pm on tuesdays.

Please take note that the SPOT clinique will be closed on:

-June 14th to 18th.

-June 24th to 26th.

-July 1st to 3rd.

You can call the partner cliniques directly to know their vacation schedule.

SPOT schedule for Easter Holidays
The SPOT project will be closed on Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Monday 5th. We will be back on Tuesday 6th. Happy Easter!

Beginning of the SPOT project with two of our partners
The SPOT project is now offered at the Clinique du Quartier Latin and the Clinique L'Actuel. You can call them directly to take an apointment: the contact infos and schedule are on the right column. The Clinique du Quartier Latin is offering you the possibility to be tested for other STI than HIV within your appointment (the STI testing is not part of the SPOT project).
